The SEAoO Annual Conference is back at The Blackwell Inn for 2026!  After good reviews last year, we are returning to the OSU campus.

Our very popular SEAoO Annual Conference has a schedule of national speakers on a variety of engineering topics, a Trade Show, an Industry and Education Awards Dinner, and excellent networking.  With a great new venue, comes new pricing.  After more than a decade of maintain the old registration fee, our costs have finally caught up with us.  See below for the 2026 ticket prices.  Please note that for 2026 the adjacent parking garage is still available, but SEAoO has removed the fee to attempt to validate everyone's parking.  This may encourage carpooling.  See below for the full schedule of speakers as they are revealed.

Attention Young members and Sustainable Design enthusiasts!

Thursday and Friday will also feature alternate Young Member track sessions.  A unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to network with practicing structural engineers as well as receive specialized programing focused on the needs of individuals as the beginning of their career in structures.  After the success of our first Sustainable Design Track in 2024, we are planning to follow-up with alternate speakers in 2026 for those needing to learn more about this emerging field.  All of these Alternate Programing events are included in the base ticket price for 2026.  

Part of sustainability is less waste!  2024 introduced the use of online slides to complement a printed program, and 2025 was our first year with the slides available online only.  Printing costs for programs is drastically reduced and we have far less paper to trash after the conference.  With a new presentation hall and easier to read screens, the need for six tiny slides per printed page is less necessary. We will remind attendees how to access the slides just before the Conference begins if they do want to bring up the slides on their own digital device during the presentation.  You will still get a printed program, but like 2025 you will have blank spaces for notes and can retrieve the slides online when available.

Dates and Hours:
September 10th and 11th (Thursday-Friday).  Events extend throughout the days as shown in the detailed daily agendas shown below.  keep an eye open for our tour of the Columbus International Airport on September 9th.  This event is open to both conference attendees and any SEAoO members.  There will be a separate ticket for attendees and non-attendees alike.  

Professional Development Hours:
11 professional sessions totaling 13.75 hours plus 0.5 hours for our Education Awards Dinner.  Please note that while these hours are fully applicable for Ohio and its surrounding states, we do not certify these hours for the states that have special requirements (FL and NY for example).  We will be tracking attendance in our new Conference App so for the second time SEAoO will be able to confirm your attendance just in case you are audited or need to submit hours outside Ohio.

Pricing:  (Prices for 2026 do not include parking validation)
Members: $430 with a $50 discount if you register by 8/28/2026.  We also offer split ticket options for co-workers as well as single day ticket options.

Young Members (under 35 years old):  $380 with a $25 discount if you register by 8/28/2026.

Non-members: $630 with a $50 discount if you register by 8/28/2026.  Membership in SEAoO is only $80 per year ($50 for young members under 35 and not licensed), so you can save by joining first and getting the member price! 

Students: $15 with a $5 discount if you register by 8/28/2026.
