Our Presenter: Nick Karam, P.E., Bekaert Construction

Nick is a Regional Sales Engineer for the USA Building products group of Bekaert Construction. Nick has a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from The Ohio State University and P.E. licensure in the states of CA and NY. Nick worked in the construction industry as a design engineer in the suspended access industry for 9 years prior to joining Bekaert in early 2022. Since joining Bekaert, Nick has focused on educating structural engineers in the USA on Dramix® steel fiber and Synmix® synthetic fiber reinforcement and providing optimized fiber reinforced solutions to their projects.

Nick was born and raised near Cleveland, OH.  After living in Columbus, OH for 10 years after college, Nick moved back to his hometown of Brecksville, OH in early 2023 where he currently resides with his wife and daughter. Outside of work Nick enjoys watching sports (go Browns), traveling, playing golf, teaching his daughter new things, and spending time with family and friends around Cleveland – especially at the Lake Erie Islands in the summertime!
